You can disconnect the QuickBooks Online integration from Heavy AV at any time. After disconnecting, Heavy AV will stop making API requests to QuickBooks on your behalf and will revoke the stored OAuth credentials.
You can initiate the disconnect from either side — from your Heavy AV admin settings, or from your Intuit account’s My Apps page. The instructions for both are below.
1. Disconnect from Heavy AV (recommended)
- Sign in to Heavy AV at /admin/login using an account with admin permissions.
- Open the QuickBooks settings page at /admin/settings/quickbooks.
- Click Disconnect on the QuickBooks connection card and confirm.
Heavy AV will immediately revoke the refresh token at Intuit, remove the stored credentials from our database, and stop syncing data with your QuickBooks company.
2. Disconnect from Intuit (My Apps)
- Sign in to Intuit at appcenter.intuit.com/MyApps.
- Locate Heavy AV in your list of connected apps.
- Click Disconnect next to Heavy AV and confirm the action.
Intuit will revoke Heavy AV’s access on its side. Heavy AV will detect the revocation on the next API call and clear the related connection record from our system.
3. What happens to your data
Once you disconnect:
- Heavy AV stops making any QuickBooks API requests on your behalf
- OAuth access and refresh tokens are revoked and removed from Heavy AV
- Estimates and invoices previously synced to QuickBooks remain in QuickBooks under your control
- Estimates and invoices previously synced retain their QuickBooks identifiers within Heavy AV for audit purposes; no further updates are pushed or pulled
- Customer records previously synced remain in both systems but stop receiving updates
- Webhook notifications from Intuit for your company are ignored
Disconnecting does not delete any data inside your QuickBooks company. To remove records in QuickBooks itself, use Intuit’s tools or contact Intuit support.
4. Request deletion of QuickBooks data from Heavy AV
If, after disconnecting, you would also like Heavy AV to permanently delete the QuickBooks data previously synced into the Heavy AV application database (such as cached QuickBooks IDs and sync history), contact us using the details below and we will process the request in accordance with our QuickBooks Privacy Policy.
5. Reconnect later
If you want to reconnect QuickBooks to Heavy AV after disconnecting, return to the QuickBooks settings page and click Connect to QuickBooks. You will be guided through Intuit’s authorization flow again.
